What’s the difference between Asana & Prenatal?

Asana is Sanskrit for the movement and poses. It is only 1 of the 8 limbs of yoga.

Prenatal yoga is a specific type of Asana that supports the changing body during gestation and makes space for baby.

In addition for being mindful of movement, yoga supports the breath Pranayama translates to Life Force

What are the benefits of Prenatal Yoga?

According to the American Pregnancy Association, during pregnancy, your body goes through many changes, which creates stress on you mentally and physically. A way to maintain a healthy mind and body is prenatal yoga because it focuses on poses for pregnant women, in order to increase strength and flexibility. It also helps pregnant women to develop proper breathing and relaxation techniques for easier and more comfortable labor. There are many benefits because it is a form of exercise that also speaks to your pregnancy wellness.
